Collective Birth Fund

The Collective Birth Fund supports our community during their reproductive journey with financial resources and connections to local birthworkers like midwives, doulas, body workers and lactation consultants. We extend our support with access to food and mutual aid to help our community during pregnancy, birth and postpartum. We believe culturally competent care that encompasses various parts to someone’s healing is vital to a dignified experience that ensures good health and longevity.

The Collective Birth Fund addresses the following issues in our community…

  • the maternal mortality rate among Black and Indigenous people

  • access to food and resources

  • mental health needs

  • birthworker support
